Are Sunshine Coast Detailing and Quantum Detail the same business?
Yes, one team with two names. Sunshine Coast Detailing is our mobile detailing brand, and Quantum Detail is our studio at Corbould Park where coatings, film and correction are fitted. Same people, same phone: 0458 165 810.
Ceramic coating or PPF: which do I need?
Ceramic is a hard, slick layer that keeps the gloss, resists UV and makes the car far easier to clean, but it won’t stop stone chips. LLumar PPF is a physical, self-healing film that takes chips and road damage on the panels it covers. Many owners film the front end and coat the rest.
Do you correct the paint before coating?
Yes. A coating locks in whatever is underneath, so Correct and Coat includes two-stage paint correction before the Gtechniq coating goes on.
How long do the warranties last?
Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light has a 5-year warranty option and Crystal Serum Ultra a 9-year option. LLumar Platinum film is a 10-year film. All are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and the recommended care.
Can you do it at my place?
No. Ceramic coatings, PPF and new car protection are studio only, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. SCD can still look after the car with mobile maintenance washes once it’s protected, and every coating includes a free wash 7 days after handover.
How much is PPF?
LLumar Platinum PPF starts from $3,199 for a Front End, $3,999 for a Track Pack and $7,499 for a full wrap, depending on vehicle size and complexity. Quantum Detail will confirm the exact price for your car.
